Does it Mean Enough to our Feelings?

Do we really want to be musicians? Do we use music as our personal doctor, therapist, spritual guide and confidant? If we don't, we'd better start. That is what it takes. Everyday people, experiences, circumstances, and life in general, will eventually let us down. As a Christian, I pray for assistance, strength and wisdom from God. However, my music must also be a form of prayer, even crying out, in every moment! The bottom line is that I truly believe that God wants us to believe in ourselves, as much as we believe in Him...This is much easier said than done. Do not put all your faith in other people. You may trust them, honor them, love them, and even see the face of God in them. However, you will also find an emptiness, like you find within yourselves, if you choose to make any person(s) your personal saviour(s).
Distractions keep us from practicing, learning, loving, and letting go. In my book, letting go=letting God. Yes, I have also heard this many times before. Though it may sound cliche, it may also never be heard, and remembered, enough! Love is always there, without any daily distractions or people. You have a greater chance of really understanding that Love, as a musician, if you've found it with, and between, your notes. Perhaps this is what Simon and Garfunkle were referring to, when they sang about the "Sound of Silence". May it just be the sound of eternal Peace, Hope and Love? May this be the stuff upon which music is truly made?
Now, I'm not saying to become some self-absorbed musician, who only practices for his/her own self-validation and ignores the world. On the contrary, I'm saying that music and life are divine gifts. These gifts will only become fully beneficial, all-empowering, and multi-healing, when they are shared, and not hoarded, for the greater good of all humanity. Music, unlike words, transcends everyday struggles and becomes the ultimate retreat...At times, it states a beauty, so profound, that words cannot even describe. When this magically occurs, it is the stuff that stops wars and ushers in a divine peace. Of course, this peace surpasses mere human understanding and reveals its endless grace, and divine healing, to all souls. This must become our musical mission!
There is always a greater song that will bring everyone together, in the name of peace and Love! As musicians, we assume the ultimate responsibility and become storytellers. However, we must also make it count! There simply cannot be any "off nights". Every time we tell a story, it should be a new, fully embraced, and magical, experience. If your heart is in the right place, the message will remain the same. Love and Joy may then be shared, and true music will flow...
